use:

Soaking: Casings that have not been pre-moistened must be soaked in water before use. The minimum time is 30 minutes in water at 20°C (70°F). Pre-moistened casings do not require soaking. Stuffing/Clipping: It is important to select the correct clip size and adjust the clipping pressure to avoid damage to the casing. The values given below should be treated as averages and should be verified according to the type of stuffing/meat. Overfilling above the recommended stuffing diameter (RSD) may cause the casing to crack.   

Storage / storage:

We recommend using the casings within 2 years from the date of delivery (1 year for pre-moistened casings). These deadlines apply only if the casings are properly stored. Store the casing in a cool, dry place away from heat sources as well as hot or freezing temperatures. Pre-moistened casings should be stored at temperatures between 4° and 30° C (39° - 86° F) and should remain in tightly closed (foil) containers until use. Unused casings should be stored in hermetically sealed bags and placed back in the carton to maintain the appropriate level of humidity. We recommend using older batches of casings first. To avoid damage to the casings, we do not recommend using knives, sharp tools and hooks to open the cartons.
